Yes We Can Johnston County Coalition, Inc. A Coalition of Concerned Citizens
|
The Yes We Can Johnston County Coalition (YWCJCC) is a young diversified non-partisan organization formed by a group of
Johnston County Concerned Citizens on November 19, 2008. It was State chartered on February 10, 2009 and qualified on the
same date as a charitable non-profit organization under IRS Regulation 501(c)(3). As such, the Coalition accepts contributions
which are tax deductible to the donor. Our membership numbers 135 with all evidence of growing into a large and meaningful
organization for Johnston County citizens.
We consider ourselves as agents of social change as we aim to break down barriers of inequality in resources and services and
attempt to fill some of these gaps. Who we are, what we are, where we are, and where we came from really does not matter in view
of our belief that we all are creatures of the same God, born equal, and entitled to the same life opportunities.
Our Vision is Clear -- Through a spirit of unity and diversification, all citizens will have resources available to lead a meaningful life.
Our Values are Simple -- We believe that all citizens are created equal and that they desire and should have the same life
opportunities. We further believe that all citizens have the desire and dedication to help their fellow citizens achieve a meaningful
life.
Our Mission is Pure -- To improve the quality of life for Johnston County citizens by influencing social change to assure that resources
are equally available to all.
Through your help, we envision the YWCJCC as becoming the leading non-profit organization in Johnston County helping its needy
and less fortunate citizens. Accordingly, it will serve as the following:
